Joann is Advanced Orthopaedics& Sports Medicine’s Lead Clinician & Medical Assistant to Dr. Tanous. Her duties include addressing patient concerns, authorizing prescriptions, and assisting with in-office procedures. She started her career at Advanced Orthopaedics& Sports Medicine back in 2011 as an assistant to Dr. Fogarty. In 2015, after Dr. Fogarty’s retirement, Joann became the head clinician and began assisting Dr. Tanous and his team.

Joann is a native Houstonian who attended Aldine District High School & the Texas School of Business, where she obtained her Medical Assistant Certificate. During her free time she enjoys spending time by the water with her daughter and friends.
